These images are INSANE! Makes you wonder if they are in fact real people and the software has just pulled an image from the 7 billion people on this planet. Can get dangerous with slightly more...dangerous prompts. I'm excited for the future, but also can't help being cautious around it...

Can Chat GPT cite sources in MLA/APA? That would have made writing a dissertation just a touch easier!

ChatGPT is not connected to the internet for now, so it can't cite sources. Bing AI does a reasonably good job of citing sources, but it eventually ends up citing SEO optimized webpages only. So no MLA/APA for now.

Nonetheless, a good starting point for any logically consistent brainstorming. I don't think robust citations are too far away given the pace at which this technology is moving forward. All it will take is someone building a Langchain + GPT model with ArXiv as a source.
