2 months ago, I shared a few “Cool AI Resources” with you with the intent of making it a monthly thing. But at the end of April, I got too tempted to share my thoughts on AI taking everyone’s jobs, so here we are at the end of May. Let’s dig in!

Perplexity has been around for quite some time but with its latest update it has become super capable. It can now look across the internet and give natural language answers to your questions. Here are a few examples:

What’s more, it allows you to ask follow up questions in context, and also allows you to share the conversations you have had with it across to the rest of the world. A great use case for this would be to start itinerary planning for a trip with Perplexity, and then sharing the link with a travel partner who can continue building on the itinerary in your absence.

2. Damn Good Tools
A one-stop solution for multiple AI based tools like “Chat with PDF”, “Grammar fixer”, URL summarizer, etc. It does as the name says, it gives you free Damn Good Tools.

This is an app that has completely spoiled me. The concept is simple - write an outline of the presentation that you want to make in simple text - paste it as a prompt into Gamma’s AI ppt maker, and voila! Your ppt is auto generated by AI!

5. Restore blurry photos on this site by Tencent:
Tencent is the company behind behemoth apps like Wechat, and games like PUBG. They also have a thriving AI lab, and out of that lab comes this super simple tool that allows you to restore faces in blurry photos, separate humans from backgrounds in images, and improve clarity of illustrations. Conclusion
I love the feeling of empowerment I get when I can type in an outline and receive an entire presentation, or upload a blurry mess and get a sharp picture as outcome. This is real delight and productivity, and I am all for it.
